Be yourself. Don't bathe, don't brush your teeth. But comb your hair.

early and dressed in a suit and tie, even if the job is just at wal mart. always be clean shaven with a fresh haircut. First impressions are all that matter in a job interview. You have 15 minutes to look better than everyone else. Be nice to everyone from the moment you step onto the property you are interviewing at. Be nice to secretaries, guards, other employees, janitor. everyone. Some companies even have cameras in the waiting areas to see how you treat current employees and other applicants.

Professional in manner and dress. Prepared- know your stuff. Make eye contac't. Be friendly and cheerful. Let them know you will get the job done. You'll probably be asked to share your own personal experiences of how you performed in the past. Refresh your ideas ahead of time so you will have examples. I have interviewed hundreds of people- the one thing that was always a red flag is when the person could not describe any experiences of resolving conflict. Big red flag. - they'll end of stirring up things because they don't know how to work things out. Good Luck.

The right way appear in an interview is your attitude which in turn will speak about your confidence level. Don't think who is in front of you. Your will power (will do attitude) is important.

Drive by the company and look what people are wearing.
Take the dress code up a notch or two from what you would normally expect to wear to work each day until you reach the suit and tie level.
Most importantly, you should feel comfortable with what you are wearing. They're not hiring your suit. They're hiring you.

Alert, attentive, interstest, ready to work. If you are going after an office job wear a suite, if its general labor wear a polo and some kahkis. On time is good too. Best of luck!

it all depends on the place you are tring to get hired at. and what position you want to get
my theory is to dress as you would expect the manager of that place to dress and no better than that.
