God did not make homosexuality; he made man to have dominion over the world. Sin was made by man.

God didn't make it a sin, man did. The part of the Bible that states homeosexuality is an "abomination" was just part of the Jewish laws. It was not written by God it was written by Jews as a way to govern their people. In those times, procreation was a necessary thing because the earth had not been populated, There was a practical reason why homosexuality would be outlawed and that was because it was useless for making babies. Now we have over 6 billion people on this earth and that will double in the next 53 years or so, according to my Bioligy book, so rest assrured my friend that you are doing no harm in this world. In fact, you may be doing it a favour...

The bible contains few actual prohibitions against homosexuality in the literal text(9 according to this book.) And you must also remember that in addition to the rule against homosexuality there is also has many rules against menstruating women, slaves, and even the length of your hair. Are all these to be taken at face value? To quote this wonderful book I am reading, "when people say that their moral views are derived from their religious commitments, they are often mistaken. In reality, something very different is going on. They are making up their minds about moral issues first and then interpreting the Scriptures, or church tradition, in such a way as to support the moral conclusion they have already reached." It's not religious laws. It's bigotry under the disguise of religious laws.

God didn't make homosexuality. He made people with the power to think and make choices. This includes controlling certain urges (like having sexwith the opposite sex) . You can help it. Use what is called self control. Homosexuality is wrong there is no way to skirt the issue. Why do you think Sodom was destroyed. In my view it is impossible to be a homosexual and be a christian at the same time you are either one or the other. No in betweens.

This is a tough question. My guess is that the sin is against the concept of procreation. Homosexuals cannot produce children. Especially within the context of a tribe struggling to survive in the harsh conditions of a desert 3000 years ago, an additional child is a welcome addition. Consider that the Bible teaches us that our destiny is the control over the environment. Back then, we had a limited impact on our environment. The laws against homsexuality are clearly the result of man attempting to codify their interpersonal relationships.

Just focus on being the best person you can be and ensure that all your relationships are positive and nurturing. The most important fact is the quality of your relationship and not the gender of the person.

i have two thoughts for you and i dont know if it will help you or not --i believe homosexuality was considered a sin because it is essentially "against" the family..do not misunderstand me -- i do not condemn or condone homosexuality one way or the other--and i dont believe God makes "mistakes" either...and it would appear that homosexulaity has been around as long as ppl have been here...i guess what im saying is if you feel guilty and want to try and change... pray for that ...because it is written that with God "all things are possible" ..if you are ok with who you are...and with what you like.. then you let God be the judge and quit worrying about what anyone else thinks..

I asked a friend of my daughters if she had always known she was a lesbian or if it was her choice. She said, "if you really had a choice, would you choose to be gay?" I think a person is born that way. My step-son just came out of the closet. He's having a hard time because he know how he feels and also knows what his church says. God has a plan for all of us. Don't feel guilty. Sexual preference shouldn't be an issue. It doesn't change the person you are inside. As long as you are true to yourself and have faith and trust in God, you won't be comdemned.

too much controversy here. my bible doesn't list homosexuality in any matter in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 like some do. All history gets changed from generation to generation. We will never know the meaning of it and that is why i protest against any school ever teaching any kind of history. maybe it will end some day. i know schools don't teach the bible works but, it is just another example of change from generation to generation. pat, that karr is a predator victimizing children. we are not all molesters, like stereotypes say we are.

God only allows us to make our own mind about what we want to do. We create the sin by living outside of Gods will for man.

I don't think it's a sin. My religion made me feel guilty about it as well. Then I realized that I wasn't bad, but maybe my religion was... It made me doubt a lot of other things my religion taught me. Now I'm a Unitarian Universalist.
