Limewire is cool, Limewire is free.

But like everything it does have its down sides, it is true that you should be careful which Limewire you download as there are some idiots out there hell bent on killing evryones Computer with Viruses.

Also, once you have and are using Limewire, there are even more idiots who rename Viruses to various title Songs, Pictures or Software, or attached Viruse to the object.

I guess it is the same with any P2P software, you are taking a risk, but there again what do you expect for free!

I have used limewire, and it is free. It is not always the best program to use, because it is free. The majority of the time I don't have a problem with the downloads, but sometimes, you can download a song that is not the song you wanted to download. For instance someone named a song something other then what is was named. Or some songs will be cut off at the end. But for the most part, I use it on occasion.

It's free, and it works however I've downloaded more bad stuff from Limewire than say Kazzaa, Morpheus, etc. I've caught 2 viruses since I've started using it less than a 6 months ago, my anti virus software fixed my issues, but it was still a pain.

It does work - just scan all mp3s before using for viruses - all the other stuff seems to carry viruses (careful of folders, zips, etc). I have never gotten a virus from it - but just scan the downloads with your anti-virus before opening them and make sure your program scans for trojans. You should do this with any download though at any site so that is no big deal. It is quick, you can change the skins, play the songs. Just make sure that wherever you have the music download to - the folder it goes to automatically that you move the mp3s out of there to another folder cause some people get in trouble I guess when they leave them in that folder - but that goes for all free download site. Kazaa is horrible and I have never used bearshare - no need to - this site is great and they have everything on there all the time - so many different versions and rare ones, etc -

It is free, I use it all the time - it's awesome- just check out their site. You can download the free version here:

I use Limewire. It is free. It does work. It is fabulous.
You can download songs, movies and files. Then if you like them, go buy them. If you don't like them, delete and move on.

Triple yes but it brings a lot of viruses into your computer, that's a known fact.

I use WinMX, no problems with that: it is fast, has a huge data base and is very up-to-date without the junk that normally comes with it.
