Studies show that no baby sleeps through the whole night, the maximum a baby can sleep is 5 hours. The reason why you think baby is sleeping for 10 is probably because it sounds like baby can nurse itself back to sleep. For some babies it is normal, but keep an eye on them because sometimes it isn't a good sign. Then again that is all babies do at that age, if signs like refusing feeds or feeds are slowing down, or anything else then it is best to take them to the local gp to get baby checked up to give you some reassurance.

All babies are different. If he is still eating normally and eliminating normally and his beahavior is that of every 3 month old, I'd say he's fine. Consider yourself lucky; some babies don't sleep through the night for a solid 10 hours until they are 4 to 6 months old. He's a well rested baby! Congrats on your bundle of joy.

Just lay back and say THANK GOD for more sleep! Enjoy the extra seep. My son didn't start sleeping regularly all night until he was 9-10 months old. It's normal. Babies are so different. Some sleep well early on and others wake up. He may start waking up again at nights, but he'll go back to sleeping all night eventually too.

Not normal, but not uncommon, either. Mine slept through the night young, as well. Personally, I never let him go more than 8 1/2 (he went down at 7, I woke him to feed at 10pm and then he slept until 6:30) because that helped us get a better schedule in the day. Otherwise, he wanted to eat every two hours. Giving him that 10pm feeding let us go three hours, and he had a much better disposition and digestive track after that....
Congratulations, by the way! Make sure you're sleeping then, too!!

Mentioned this to your peditrician at the babys next visit , I honestly wouldnt worry to much until then , becuase my son sleeped and sleeped when he was that age i remember being pretty freaked out also , and the peditrician wasnt concerned at all , I know they told me when my son was a newborn that a newborn can sleep up to 20 ours a day , of course not straight only awaken for feedings , I'm not sure on how much sleep a 3 month old should be getting , but i do remember my son sleeped alot at they age , he would sleep most of the day and the night and i would be really scared , until he hit 6months old , then i was praying he would go back to sleep lol ...

I wish you would ask your pediatrician if its ok to let him sleep that long without waking.
Is there a chance that he could get into a sleep that is too deep to be safe? (I'd wake him after 7 hours I think. A baby that little will go back to sleep.)
Maybe there is no need to be concerned, and your doctor can tell you that. In the meantime, I can't even make myself type out the words when it comes to the concern I'd have with letting him sleep so long when he's this little. You know what I'd be concerned about.

Wow, you're blessed with a wonderful baby. It's great that your little one sleeps so long. It must give you some nice time alone. :) My little guy has slept for 8-12 hours at a time since he was around that age, and he's perfectly normal and healthy. Have a lovely night!

Woo Hoo count ur lucky stars. Yeah it is normal. Babies grow when they are asleep and people grow the most in their lives as babies ,so babies need more sleep so they can grow. It is absolutely nothing to worry about :-), the fact your baby is sleeping right through the night is a blessing, many mothers wish their babies would.

This is very normal. Children will sleep when something bothers or scares them and just remember life is scary to us adults so imagine the baby? Most babies should sleep more than they are awake. So count your blessing.
