Will the politician work 4 his society or for his party, That's a weird question. A politician is a person who is a mixture of Cobra venom and wolf's brain in a guise of a human being with all the attributes of cunningness and shrewdness. It is hard to imagine that such person can either work for a Party or society.
However we can visualize that such things are self centred and they are only faith full to themselves and they work only for themselves

If the Politicians are in power, They will earn 80% of the money by doing malpractice and spend the remaining 20% of the money for the society and his party.
If the Politicians are not in power. They will spend 20% of the money for spoling the work done by the ruling party. and will not spend in anything else.
So, I mean to say that No politician will work for the society. he may work for his party(that too little bit) but will never work for society.

Politicians, in theory, works for the society. However, inside Parliament, party-line voting and peer pressure, as well as wanting to stay out of the spot light, thanks to the media, often results in politicians working for the party and not the people.

Politics is a hard-ball game. But in the end, it depends what kind of attittude he has. He'll either use the society/community to get to the top and once elected, do nothing more for them. Or he'll work together with his community and continue to do so after being elected into office. But like i said, it all depends on what kind of attitude he has.

Neither he works for the society nor for the party. He works for himself.
Example: Our ex PM and his sons. They are working for themselves, their family in the guise of farmers' upliftment.

he works for whoever is backing him at the time. If the Republicans will get him a senate seat, he'll be a Republican. If the Democrats can get him VP he'll be a Democrat. And if Kleenex can get him the Presidency, he'll work for Kleenex.
