Worried that they will fail; their parents might scold them; they will not be able to go to the courses or schools of their preference; wanted to feel superior; etc...
Not to mention about exam, even mock test, some people are so serious about it.
Too bad, I'm not of the same type ;p

For students, exams represent serious hurdles. If you don't pass your exam, you don't move on to the next grade. Or you don't get university credits. Or whatever. It's a shame, because exam anxiety has frozen the minds of some very capable and intelligent students.

exams are ways to rank students according to their scores on them. people that suffer from test anxiety often can't finish the test or score very poorly. standardized tests are subjective, especially the ones you have to take to become a registered nurse or physical therapist. you may be the best nurse around, but until you pass the licensing exam, you don't receive the license to practice. and you have to pay for them. too much is weighed on tests.

Y STUDENTS ALONE... EVEN U R AFRAID OF EXAMS RIGHT?............. ITS HUMAN TENDENCY TO BE AFRAID OR GET TENSED WHEN DEY FEEL THEY ARE BEING GRADED OR CHECKED FOR THEIR RESULTS......
