I drove taxi for 25 yrs. and have heard these A-holes coming down a main street blasting their "thumping" sounds(i can't call it music)and as soon as they turn the corner they turn it down.I've seen systems worth more than the car they're in and it rattles the metal of the car.You sound like you got it down right man, enjoy it .

LOL!!! It doesn't annoy me so much, not when it just drives past but when i'm stopped at a red light .... The boom boom boom does get to me after a while! Quite frankly i don't see the point to have such loud music. I stopped at a garage last week and another car stopped too. The driver opened his boot and i nearly died with shock! He had a huge hi fi system in his boot, lights, it was like a mobile disco! He fiddled with some buttons next thing i knew ... It was like Apocalypse Now? You know the noise was unbelievable and my dogs both started to bark because they hated it! It was that loud! I couldn't have told you who was singing? If anywone was that is! And i felt so grateful when someone got out off the shop and indicated to him to turn it down! I left the garage my ears still ringing with the noise. I do think some of these loud music lovers will end up with damaged hearing at some stage.

Not surprised about people having a sing song and a dance when they hear your music! I would too LOL

If ONLY you knew the HARM that does to your ears and your body.

The small cilia that vibrate to pass the sound information to your brain to interpret... well, let me give you an analogy... imagine what happens when people walk across a lawn and they leave a trail in the grass... the grass blades are bent and killed, they stop growing... that's basically what happens to those cilia and soon you find yourself speaking louder and you don't realize that you're practically shouting at those you're speaking with... and they have to speak louder so you can hear them... yes, you lose hearing although you may not be completely deaf, but you find yourself not hearing certain noises and at certain levels.

By the way, the loud noises also raises your blood pressure; it causes blood vessels to constrict and causes the heart to have to pump blood out harder... hey, that ain't good for YOU.

Do you know anyone employed in the health profession that can take your blood pressure? Do an experiment... have the person take your blood pressure while you're at rest and then stand by the loud music a few minutes and have the person take your blood pressure again. Compare. Do you have an idea what that does to your heart, your small blood vessels, and the rest of your body...?

Yes, some of that loud music annoys some people, and sometimes it makes others smile and dance or bob their heads to the rhythm of the music at YOUR health's expense.

Whatever you spent on your sound system, you could've used to buy clothes or a nicer TV or computer... but you bought it to serve others around you who don't know you or to annoy those who may see you in an emergency and would want to walk away because you annoyed them...?

Where's the wisdom in that thinking? If you fight evil with evil... what wins in the end? EVIL wins!

I'd rather have some 60's and 70's music blaring out than some of the shite thats in the charts at the moment. Theres nothing more annoying than hearing all the swear words and language that comes out of a rappers mouth when your walking down the High Street for your kids. At least older music is decent and has a tune!!

haha - rap should be banned - I am sorry. It is not music and apparently everyone is thinking that they are ***** lately - I walk around wondering - does this boy look in the mirror - does he know that he is not... what the hell is going on lately?

It isn't just the music either - it is the ignorant speech and spelling things wrong and saying half of words and improper grammer - what is all of this- so yes, I hate it and yes, it annoys me - greatly. Want to know what is more annoying - I live in apartments and a few of my lovely neighbors do it - but it comes through the floors and walls - that is the WORST.

Yes. In fact it annoys me to hear any loud music coming from a car. What is the need to have it so loud that people outside the car can hear it?

I'm often heard banging out a Bee Gees hit or two myself

I don't mind GOOD loud music, but when people drive past with absolute cack on, I have to laugh at them from the side of the road, or from my passing car

I hate it, too, it's so thoughtless. I once shouted at a convertible driver as I cycled past that it was too loud, and he did turn it down. I don't mind as much if it's Elvis or Andy Williams (which I've heard) but still think drivers only need to play it loud enough to hear themselves, and not broadcast it to people six floors up.

i dont wanna be a know it all but first i think your exagerating a little bit with that many decibles....two it doesnt annoy me but i think the people in the cars are just showing off....three if your playing loud music in your car like them then you have become what you have hated or what annoys you.....unlees your only problem is with the rap music then thats your personal choice and you should let them play it how loud they want since your playing your music loud too

Yes, it does. It is as if the driver fancies his music so fantastic, we must all "enjoy" it.

If I may interject here, I also really, really appreciate the guys that buy a car for 600 bucks, and then jam pack it with 9000 dollars worth of stereo gear, that makes a lot of sense to me.
