I recently began to accept the possibility that I'm insane because 99% of the time, when I talk to people about important issues like politics, religion, sexuality, morality/ethics, illegal immigration, love and relationships, anything, people disagree with everything I say.

If the majority of people believe one thing is absolutely true, but I don't and I feel I have facts to prove it but they don't understand it, then I must be crazy right?

An example:1)Most people believe racism doesn't exist when I actually experience it. Am I dellusional?

2)Most people believe that sexually is genetic or a choice, but I know for a fact from people I've met that it can sometimes be both. Again, maybe I'm delusional.

3) Many feminists say that gender is a construct by society and it is only learned, not genetic. But I know for a fact that it's both genetic and nurtured. Once again, maybe I'm delusional and what I thought I experienced as true, was really insanity.

Am I'm crazy?

Thank you everyone for your comments.

It's difficult sometimes for me to know if what I think about certain things really makes logical sense, or not, even after thoroughly analyzing all the logical angles of the argument that I can before saying anything. When the majority disagrees, it's hard to know if you or they're right, because there's been times throughout history where the majority believes one thing, but it's wrong and you may be right. I thank all of you for your encouragement for me to keep being me, and to keep thinking.

RoseC - Based on the fact that you completely disagree with me, I think there are some things in life that can't be proven unless you experience it yourself, or unless you conduct incredibly meticulous studies onthe issue and be very patient during taht process. Like studying racism for example. That dificult to prove unless one is a very great social scienctist it seems, so ofcoourse not everyone will see it. the same for gender and Sexuality.

You're not crazy or insane. You're just unique
and normal . The issues you brought up are all controversial. Your opinions and beliefs on such matters are just that ........ not facts.or truths. For you to conclude that your opinions are factual are irrational and erroneous. Now, let's look at the various issues, you brought up.

1)it's true, racism exists but to a lesser degree than before. but this is just an observation not a known fact. your assumption in here could be true.

2)I sometimes,I wonder about this -if homosexuality somehow has some genetic basis or is it plain sexual preference by choice.
at some point, is there some chromosonal defect that predetermines the inclination towards that particular gender. But for now for all purposes, homosexuality is viewed as a choice, or learned. And it can't be both. So your stand on this is erroneous.

3)Gender and sexuality, which are synonyms, is genetic. The day you were born your sexuality or gender is pre determined if you a re a girl with the presence of the xx chromosome or for a boy with the xy chromosome. Definitely, it's not a question of choice. It's not nurtured or learned or developed. Moreover, .gender is not construed by society. Society doesn't dictate if one should be a boy or a girl. Their choices of their sexual preference be it homosexuality or lesbianism.is learned. But bear in mind, that not all feminists are lesbians. Therefore, gender per se, is genetic not learned. And they can not be both. Your stand on this is definitely fallacious. So,in conclusion, your observations on these two issues are erroneous. and shouldn't be regarded as facts. To do so otherwise, is irresponsible. .

No... I dont think you are crazy. You just have different ways of thinking. You have your own opinions about different things... nevertheless influences of other people have helped your opinions. I know where you are coming from... well the talk about crazy!! My friends call me crazy all the time.. just because my thinking ablility is alot higher than theirs. and or I pyscho analyze everything... and yes I mean everything. So I am naturaly called crazy because are thinking is not at their level... or in other words... over their heads. But I did hear something about... the higher your IQ was... the more crazier you were. Why is that? Because the person with higher IQ has more knowledge of everything in their surroundings... and eventually goes crazy cause not understanding what all people think.. and reasons for ways they act. OR not understanding anything at all and thinking they know everything... and crazy is sticking with them. Only one will know... right?
I believe racism still exists... hate to say that.. but it is true. And sexually is both genetic and choice. But that is my opinion... lol

Good luck!!

Nah, your not crazy.Do you expect everybody to agree whatever you say? Then life would be so beautiful! So get into reality..people love to criticize and if you strongly agree to your points join a debate team or something. Its good for you.
There is a great saying "If everybody thinks the same then no bodys really thinking!"
And about that racism thing, it still exists.

actually, people have different perceptions and point of views in certain things. you can't actually say that your opinion is exactly the same to others because that is what we really are. we are all accountable to our own perceptions and i don't think you are crazy just because you think differently. it's just how things are. you'll find out somehow that you are not alone, and that other people will also agree with what you are thinking. it's just not how they view the situation, that's all.
