I'm swimming upstream here, but I think Ray Charles' best songs are "Hallelujah I Love Her So" and "What'd I Say."

I think "Come Rain or Come Shine" is one of the greatest love songs ever written, but I actually like Ella Fitzgerald's version better than Ray's, even though he wrote it.

G'day Gen Bugawan,

Thank you for your question.

My favourite is "Hit the Road Jack" which topped the US charts in 1961 and reached the top 10 in the UK.

It was written by Percy Mayfield who also wrote Please Send Me Someone to Love. It was the shortest of Charles #1 hits at an even two minutes. He had three #1 hits with "Georgia" in 1960 and "I Can't Stop Loving You" in 1962

Ray Charles won a Grammy for the Best Male Rhythm and Blues Recording for the song. He won this Grammy in three successive years with "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "Busted" with the other songs to win the honour.

"I Got a Woman" is another favourite. It is the song that has been blended into "Gold Digger" by Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx. It is often cited as the beginning of soul music.

Regards

"What I'd Say" is Actually Ray's song, I believe.

Georgia was written by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuard Gorrell

"A Song for You" was written by Leon Russell though it's my personal favorite performance of Ray's.

If you're looking for Ray's most loved song regardless of who wrote it that's probably Georgia.
