Why is that? Is it because all the birds died from the smog pollution or is because the people ate them? Does anyone have the correct answer?

I LIVE in the capital city and I SEE and HEAR birds every single day. In fact, my car does get the occassional bird poo which is very much proof that they exist here. Maybe in the few times that you were here you stayed in a hotel or in a mall which pretty much drones out the noise of the birds. There are even some malls here where birds come in freely.

the stinky bird egg delicacy is like 100 year old eggs or something, but it sounds like asking for salmonella to me

Where the heck have you been?

Head out into the provinces, you'll find birds.

Ummmm
They die of pollution
and then they eat them.

Also, they have a delicacy dish
which is a raw buried egg (can't
remember how long it is buried in
the dirt for) and when 'ripe' it is
eaten. Do not recommend it,
but for them it is a delicacy.....

so, no eggs, no birds.

Good point.
