is this a triage question? life threating situations first, then the ABC's (airway, breathing, circulation), then it depends on how many tests need to be done (the more tests the sooner you get out of the waiting room and into the ER)...

I'm not sure I understand your question, but here goes. Emergency nursing is the field of nursing where the nurse's clinical experience is limited to case management and nursing intervention in the emergency department of the hospital.

Management depends on the priorities determined by the triage nurse. Some interventions are more urgent, such as heart attacks, life-threatening conditions, traumatic injuries, etc. all are "graded" and treated accordingly.

Emergency nursing is a specialty in nursing dealing with emergency cases and triage care/management.
The most basic is A-B-C, wherein airway is the most important followed by breathing then circulation. Triage care is managing different cases at the same time. In the hospital, you have to deal with the most critically ill first before the less critical ones. In the community, it is a reverse because you have to save lives as many as you can so you have to prioritize the less critical ones beacsue they have bigger chances of being saved. But the general rule is A-B-C. You have to prioritize those with airway problems first before those with breathing then breathing problems first before those with circulation problems.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll take a shot at answering it. Emergency nursing is taking care of people who come into the emergency room who are in critical situations. The most seriously ill / injured people get seen first. Hope this helps. If not, then please rephrase your question so I'll understand it better.

There is a nurse in the ER who works what is called triage. She decides who needs to be seen 1st, 2nd then on and on. Of course, if you show up in the ER having crushing chest pain you will be seen before the person who shows up thinking they have a sexually transmitted disease. Believe it or not, this happens.
