my ipod display a sad icon and a folder. telling me that i need support from apple. so i did everything in the support section...up to the part were i have to put my ipod to its original factory settings and nothing happen...i have downloaded the latest updater and try to update it but all it says is... 'cant load ipod.......whats wrong?
can somebody help me? i bought it just last year...

I don't own an iPod so I'm not sure what the problem is, but you might want to try resetting it. Usually electronics like that have a tiny little button that you can press with a safety pin or a ballpoint pen that will reset it back to its original settings. It might be on the side or on the back somewhere.
If the problem still persists then you'll have to call Apple and see if they'll send you a new one that works.

i say you still need to call them up... if you are out of warranty the chance is your ipod is done for. in a way apple done a great job... the product last just out of warranty... lol j/k but seriouly you need to call and if its out of warranty be really piss maybe they would still take it in.

exact same thing happen to me so i ended up sending it back and so they replaced with a different one i think you have to call the 800 #
