Specifically, will it change how you live life any more than 9/11? And what do you expect in its wake?

I will fill bad, sorry and angry but if I trade my freedom for security they win.

I wiish Americans would act more like the British. Mass hysteria on the part of the media never improves a situation.

The only way Sep 11 has changed my life is that I try to fly less because its such a hassle. But that is more for environmental reasons anyway.

Another successful terrorist attack would have me so angry at the attackers--it'd be like pouring gasoline on a fire. I'd call my elected officials and seek they raise hell in Washington, calling for highly aggressive "search and kill" terrorist participants and terrorist cell memberships.

Post attack: I'd expect US Corporate greed to rally in a price gouging melee; sticking even higher prices on gas and just about anything they can think of. I also wouldn't be surprised to see fortified metro city "perimeter" fencing with security checkpoint entrances/exits all along major interstate traffic routes as well.

This very well could come within the next 24 or so years from now....have your travel papers ready: Checkpoint Charile may make a comeback.

No it won't change how I live MY life. The government may change that though by stricter regulations. More governmental paranoia and limits on freedoms. An unfortunate, but natural effect of terrorism.

Not much an average citizen can do. They can have terror alerts and scare us, but you really can't do much more than be careful and watchful without being paranoid.

I just live my life. There is not much I can do to stop someone committed to random and unjustified killing. That is what government intelligence and law enforcement is for.

Please read with a southern drawl....
Well, being as all of them there convicted 'terrorists' are serving their rightful and ex-ten-sive (not to mention abusive) prison sentences in Guan-tan-amo (they were convicted right after their speedy trial), we ain't got ourselves nothing to worry about except for them damn Frenchies (their still Freedom-Fries, right...? Honey, will you go down to McDonald's and get me some of them Freedom-Fries loaded with trans fatty acids?)

Seriously, my life has not changed (except for minor airplane travel hassels). I cannot honestly see my life changing if we were attacked again, unless we had to suffer occupation (see http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com for info about occupation tragedies). I wouldn't even question why we were attacked, can any one say George W.? I would feel remorse for the people who died or lost loved ones, and I would also feel that for the people that will lose soldiers counter-attacking the neighbor country that attacked us.

I don't know how the public would resopond to it, though. I wonder if they would continue to support the Iraq war, or if they would realize that what we were supposed to be doing in Iraq(what, I'm not entirely too sure about anymore) obviously isn't working. Did London attack Syria because of its attacks? We would probably launch an attack against China, finding some impossibly stupid reason to back it up... what is even more pathetic is the number of Americans who still blindly believe the reasons.

Sit down and think.Yeah we had this one coming too.
9/11 was a hoax and I would expect utter chaos in the marketplace. This is the only place an act like this is truly measured in this country.

Will, I will personally write a letter to the White House and ask Bush to make a few more of those Axis of Evil Speeches. Nothing was so effective in pissing off half the world. Just a couple more times and we will have them right where we want them, in Peoria.

I'll just be angry/shocked..i mean how else can i react?

well unless it effects me directly..it probably wont change my life anymore then 9/11 did

I expect even more security..which we should of had in the first place.

And even more hurt to the economy.

i will react the same way i did with the first terrorist attack
i expect the same thing in its wake
everyone was hurt by the terrorist attacks, whether they knew someone that was killed or not
our freedom and security was questioned
it was like having our whole nation raped
we were left vulnerable
and i believe this will all be the same if it were to happen again

I would be stunned in disbelieve. It would of course change my life, but I have a peace of mind that it will not happen - more likely.. The things are under control, so far-so good.
