Yup....it's like a metallic taste, kinda like you been chewing on pennies. Perfectly normal. Congrats!

With my 2nd i constantly had a nasty taste in my mouth, i would brush my teeth several times a day,i thought it would never go away. Unfortunately it lasted throughout the entire pregnancy but fortunately it did go away. Oh yeah i also asked my doctor about this and she said that it was normal but she told me it usually goes away by the 2nd trimester.

Your gums tend to be ultra sensitive during pregnancy, and food particles can cause small lacerations inside your mouth. The lacerations will cause small amounts of bleeding and, eventually, healing. This is the cause of the bad taste.

Make sure you floss regularly, and brush at least twice a day. At first, this may cause it to be worse, but in a week or two, it will gradually subside. Also, pay attention to when the taste strikes--what have you just ate/drank?

Yes, and even if you chew gum or mints or even brush your teeth you will still have the taste. Im sorry there isnt much you can do unless u can chew gum 24/7 and if u do that get the sugar free kind thats what ive been doing i know how you feel

Yes, it's normal. I hated it. I couldn't brush my teeth a lot throughout the day because I would gag every time. I sucked on mints and drank a lot of water and that seemed to help. It goes away about the third month or so.
