Well, I think that you should definitly talk to him about it, and try to do some stuff together. Ask him, if he wants a break, or if he is feeling crowded. A person can still work, and give you a call every once in a while, it's not that hard. So yes, definitly talk to him.

Well, do you initiate texting him?
At the initial part of dating, my bf usually text me first. Subsequently, work gets bz, he stop texting me. When I took the initiative, he was rather surprise and apologetic of neglecting me.
Send your regards to let him know that you care.
I have to admit that communication is a very important element to sustain the relationship.
Try it and monitor his response before deciding what you really want to do.
