Why do guys treat women like crap? And do they really care?

I adore women. I have gone out of my way to defend girls I didn't even know when I have seem boyfriends screaming in their faces. I don't know why so many guys are like that. I hate those types, it gives us all a well deserved bad reputation. I think that boys need better role models. It is hard to know how to treat a girl when your dad comes in and throws her around the house. Or when parents have arguments in front of the kids, That makes them think that ignoring the feelings (both mentally and emotionally) of the girl is fine.
I am an extremely sensitive happily married man and couldn't be happier. I hope that someday soon I can be a big brother to a few kids and show them what it really means to be a man. Not only do they need to be able to take care of bills, but maintain a healthy relationship with women. Now, if everyone else who reads this would just do the same, the world might be a better place.

It is a proven fact that men suffer much more from separations than women do.
How about all the women that treat men like crap?

Women probably feel more intensely than men do. But I'd guess that men feel more deeply, or rather their feelings are better informed by a more thorough contemplation of the world.
Women's feelings are nearsighted, being involved mainly with what's close around them. Their feelings might be strong, but they are superficial despite all the splashing they cause.
Men's feelings tend to be farsighted, being more influenced by the future, by expected changes in the world, by a wider consideration of forces in motion that women just don't see until some immediate and tangible affect manifests in their direct sight.

i think this is a ridiculous question. You can really switch this question around in some cases, while it be more rare it is definatly not fact that men aren't sensitive..and that we all fit under the same stereotype. I'd say the standard that put men as all about..that thing, or not sensitive is becoming more equal, esp amoung today's society. Guys have the same feelings bud.

the same reason women speak 2000 words a day and guys only speak 500...it is not that we dont care or treat you like crap...its because all you women talk too much!!!

In my experience, men only become emotionally shallow and objectify women after their first heartbreak. Well, sometimes they're just jerks, but mainly they try to kill their emotions as a method of burying past pains and protect themselves from the future pain that is synonymous with heartbreak.
After all. if you're too scared to fall in love, you'll never get hurt.

Male seem to be immune to some feelings such as women--guilt especially. Most females experience feelings at a more intense level than males, perhaps its the chemical imbalances in our brain.
I dont know why guys treat women like crap. Maybe they were socially taught to ie getting it from their parents, or they believe it makes them feel more macho.

dude...!!! you are so wrong...not ALL guys treat their women crap. there are some with attitude and aptitude problems [not to mention full of ego] are the ones that treat their women bad... we have to go thru the reasons for one bad apple to be made and put the rest in trash...if yer know what i mean...??

Simple answer . . . they are all idiots! Both of them. Certain elements of both men and women treat certain elements of both woman and men like crap and no amount of civilization seems to be going to do anything about that! Don't believe me? look round yahoo answers - it seems that dumb comments from women about men far outnumber dumb comments from men about woman. Slight influence of fashion there, i think.
Personally i just ignore them!
