I'm a guy, and I used to have pimples when I was a teenager, and it was just horrible. Good thing, during my coming-of-adulthood age (18), they practically stopped with the occasional pimple here and there. But here's my problem:
I have some discoloration on my face because I used to have pimples, and now, everytime I get a zit, it leaves a what may seem like a slight discoloration, but since my face is pretty much becoming clear, it's really annoying to see your skin discolored. Now, I'm up for trying anything, but my skin is VERY sensetive. I can't even use most (if not all) TV advertised facial cleansers because they make my skin too dry. I just use Cetaphil for washing my face.
Anyway, what can I do or take to erase the discoloration on my face? (Other than going to a Dermatologist, which isn't an option right now.) Are there over-the-counter medicine I can buy that will make the discoloration fade away but not harm my face in any other way during the process?

I have senstive skin, too, and I've been using the microdermabrasion kit from philosophy. It's kinda expensive ($65) but it works really well. I have sun damage on my face, and some discoloration, and it's faded both of those considerably in just two weeks.

Hi,
So funny you asked this and I saw it. I was in the same situation as you. I was searching extensively and found the best resources here: http://www.champhealth.com/buyersguide.htm (under cosmeceuticals). I found that several worked very well for me, and it's pretty much up to you on which to buy. GreatSkin Dermal K, IS Clinical Super Serum, and Crystal Mask. Also Skinstore's ScarFade Scar Gel and Scar Fx.
I hope this helps you.

If theyre dark, almost scar like, there is a bleaching cream (not like michael jackson bleaching) but just for certain dark, discolored spots. Check in the cosmetics section and any store.

Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel...its like $13 for a bottle but it works great! It will reduce the redness and discoloration of acne scars. I had a shaving scar on my face and now it isnt even there...It works great on all scars and discoloration.

I know that using cocoa butter usually helps reduce the appearance of scars and discoloration on the skin . . . since you have sensitive skin, I don't know if you would be able to use ProActive or not, but it's a great product . . it's just different for different people . . my fiance has sensitive skin and it works perfect for him . . but I also have sensitive skin and it's too strong for me . . . so I guess it all depends on what your skin can tolerate . . . good luck!

Get a bottle of vitamin E gell caps. cut the end of it open and put the gell on your face. Vitamin E is very healing in anatural way. My friend had second degree burns on his back from a bad sunburn. He had no medical, so I called the hospital for advice. This is what they recamended. I was told that Vitamin E in a gell form can quickly heal most skin damage. To this day my friend has no scars.

hey i'm not sure how to get rid of the dark spots from the pimples but i do kno how to get rid of them. there are creams for razor bumps right...well most of them can get rid of a pimple quicker than a razor bump so i'd advise u to look for "dr. lucky" or something like that. umm i'd say dr. lucky because it's not like a white cream that causes your skin to peal like most razor bump treatment it looks more like a grease- it doesn't smell all that great but it really works so try to put it on before u go to bed. i use it--i feel kinda retarded buyin it sometimes cuz i'm a girl n it's made for men but it works. hope this helps. have a great day.

There's a product by Neutrogena that is supposed to reduce the appearance of acne scars.
Here's a link to the product page: http://www.dermadoctor.com/product.asp?productID=1406&WID=%7B1C786DF7%2DC989%2D4407%2DBFAF%2DC9AB28DD4A99%7D
