I've noticed that some drivers look like that they didn't shave, it's like that each wk.so they're growing a beard??????????

Oh come on I love Nascar- I'm just curious at to why? It has Nothing to do with me wanting to watch clean shaven men, I'm just CURIOUS and figure that there is a Good Reason for not shaving?????????

There aren't too many drivers that are unshaven. Tony Stewart is the most noticeable. Coming from someone that has a full beard, when I wear a full face helmet while riding my motorcycle, my face gets irritated from the helmet rubbing on the hair. That mixed with the sweat and heat after a couple of hours riding in the heat, make for an uncomfortable ride.
The scruff look may be the happy medium between no beard and a full beard. Then again, maybe is a "good luck charm" for them.

It's simply just how they are. Some guys like my man Tony Stewart just don't shave sometimes. And what's wrong with that? It really isn't a big deal at all...infact, it's personal choice. Maybe some guys just like the scruffy look...and some even like the beard! Then there are guys that always shave, or they'd die if they didn't! So it's just a bit of a mix of personal choice among the drivers. Plus, time is an issue. They perhaps don't have a lot of time to shave with all the racing stuff they do all day!! So who knows? We're all gonna have to ask why! :)
P.S. I did understand that you were NOT bashing NASCAR by asking this question. You were simply curious about this!!

If the sound of a healthful sounding pushrod V8 makes your pulse upward push you may desire to be a Nascar fan. If velocity components a thrill you may desire to be a Nascar fan. in case you like sitting out interior the summertime sunlight on the race song you may desire to be a Nascar fan. Aww heck i'd desire to try this all evening. each and every individual has something distinctive that makes them hate or love Nascar. I grew up in and around racing and that is in my blood. that's what makes ME a Nascar fan.

It could be good luck, I think it is more the guys are just so busy race weekend....even my boy Kasey was looking a little scruffy this past weekend, I doubt the pretty boy would normally let it get that way!

If you're talking about Tony Stewart...that's just his preference. I like Tony, shaven or with the stubble.

why bother, you're going to be sweating like a pig for up to 3 hrs. racing, not going to a, lets say, the david letterman show or the jay leno show.

they don't have alot of time. they go to things for there sponsers and charities events they are on the go all the time..so if they don't want to shave sometimes its alright with me. i like how tony stewart looks.
