What is so bad that she's suicidal? This is sort of a tough one. Kinda damned if you do and damned if you don't. Is it possible to break off the relationship without breaking off the friendship? Maybe try telling her that this dating thing is too complicated and you don't want to ruin the friendship or hurt her? Suggest you guys go back to being friends until she sorts a few things out in life. I would think you'd have to reassure her it's not because of anyone else, or because she's got issues...something like that. Geez, I honestly don't know. I wish I had some advice, but I've never been in a situation like that. I mean she could just be doing it for the attention. There is a big difference between saying you're going to kill yourself and actually trying it. My heart goes out to you.

Her problems are her own, not yours. You are not responsible for her actions, only your own. So, my advice is...Let someone close to her know that she is having thoughts of suicide. Maybe you can tell her family, or simply offer to take her to an emergency room, where they have counselors from mental health that can offer her support and help. All you can do is offer your help, or tell someone close to her to keep an eye on her after you break up with her and are out of the picture. She is not your responsibility, but I really feel you'd be acting responsible if you offered this help before you leave her alone. That act of simple kindness could make all the difference in the way that she handles you leaving her. I commend you for caring about her that much. Good luck in your future relationships...You deserve someone just as kind as you are.

my bro had this prob with his ex. Maybe u should talk to her parents let them know whats going on then break up with her.....at least they will know and can help her thru it. You cant stay in a relationship out of guilt. Shes being suicidal cos shes lost her self esteem. She needs counselling.

Hey, you are not her keeper. If you want to end it, then end it. If she is so stupid to commit suicide it's up to her. Otherwise she will forever keep you with her using suicide as a threat. You will be a prisoner to her mind games.
