I see it on TV and in the movies people associating godzilla with Japanese. What is this all about?

Godzilla represents the Japanese popular culture's fixation with the singular event that changed their culture forever; the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Godzilla is merely a representation of personified horror. His nuclear breath represents the death-blast of an atom bomb. You can see the Japanese's fascination with mass destruction in their cinema, mostly represented in the anime genre.

Well it's because Godzilla was made in Japan and 100% Japanese. He is an icon in that country.

Isnt Godzilla originally a Japanese film? Or maybe it's because it took place in Japan.

Godzilla is a Japanese construction, detritus of a society attacked with nuclear weapons.
Also, it's really funny watching the actors mouths and it reminds some of us of rainy Sundays eating peanut butter toast.

They have a symbiotic relationship...When he/she is pissed Godzilla takes it out on Japan...But when danger threatens eg. Giridon et al, the big guy/girl is there for the fray...knocking down power-lines etc.(They remember the effects of nuclear power and Godzilla was a creation of that...Bad radiation..).

in japanese culture, godzilla (Go-Zira) represents the americans destroying their country in WW2...but keeping on with the movies is kinda masachistic dont ya think?..

Godzilla is formerly a japanese story and there movie ......but later an american director got the likeing of the movie and remaked it .........but its from japs

godzilla is a scorpio ..............born in november .
he does have a bit of a temper problem , but he is seeking help .
he was born in Japan , thus the Japanese connection.

because last time in the "ultraman" tv show, the moster that fight agaisnt the ultraman hero was godzilla ...
