I want to get the new Chocolate cell phone from Verizon Wireless and have either service from Nextel or Sprint. Is it possible?

it is only if they make a mistake. my friend has the rocker and it says cingular but he has t-mobile

The LG phone uses CDMA network and that is Sprint PCS, Verizon and Virgin Mobile. Most other carriers use GSM network. The type of network used by your phone cannot be changed (or rarely can be changed and not easily) but you should be able to use the LG Chocolate with any carrier on CDMA network.
If you want to use your phone internationally, get a 4-band GSM phone so you can slip in a SIM for any GSM carrier in any country. Currently, 4 times as many phones in the world are GSM compared to CDMA because you can travel worldwide and not pay roaming charges with GSM phones.
Bear in mind that when you buy a phone from a carrier, it may be locked to that carrier. A mobile phone service specialist can unlock the phone for a small fee and then the new carrier can engage your phone's number to their network.

No, not without the Unlock Codes for the phone. Phones like that and the Razr and Slvr are "locked" into certain cellphone carriers.

I would not recommend Sprint. You will be better off with Verizon.

as far as i know u can get a cell from a diff but you have to register it to you carrier... thats what i did

no verizon has specialy made phones it is not posible sorry
