I'm a libertarian and i want federal government to stay out of state and local issues. they are taking to much power away from the citizens and denying us more and more of our constitutional rights

It means to me that it well never happen because Republicans don't trust Government enough to pass a law that creates and enforces a National ID Card. The last thing the rich want is to do any real reforming of the system because they have gutted the system so they can feed at the trough and get richer and richer without anyone looking over there shoulder. The Fox's have taken the chicken house and they like it!

Nothing. I don't see what the big deal is about those. It will be just like a drivers license, except people won't look at me funny when I travel out of state.

Depends. At face value they sound innocuous. However If it gets to the point where you could be arrested or cited for not carrying one. That would be a gross state of affairs for citizens of any country.

i think it would be a good idea. it's especially hard when you move a lot(i.e. military families) and have to pay a fee to get your license reissued every time. i think they should have national license plates too. it would make things a lot less confusing--i mean, we all use the same currency, so why not unite everything else?
