Run...Run for Your Life! Even the Mormon Church Doesn't Recognize Polygamy. It's also Immoral and illegal! The Mormon Church has One Great Major Fault.. It Places the "Book Of Mormon" on the same plain as the "Holy Bible", that is Blasheny!
Christians Must Be Monogamous! Muslims that think Polygamy is Ok are Sadly Mistaken and are being mislead by False Prophets, Mohammed Himself said he was DEMON Inspired! So take it from there!

First, polygamy is not part of the "true" mormon church. Second, polygamy is illegal in the United States.
What could have possibly inspired such a decision?

The True Mormon Church "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" does not practice Polygamy. Anyone who told you otherwise is lying.
I know as I am a fully endowed elder in the "TRUE" Mormon Church.

The term "Mormon" means one of the 13 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a believing member of that faith, which banned plural marriage well over a century ago.
Some tiny polygamist bands exist, but they are pretty wierd. The ones I've heard of are frequently involved in child abuse (forcing young girls to "wed" older men) and other serious, abusive behaviors. Murder to gain leadership of such groups is not uncommon.
Even if I believed in polygamy, I would NEVER want to be associated with such people.

Have you heard about a guy named Warren Jeffs? He is the leader of a polygamist cult in Colorado city AZ. Warren Jeffs is wanted by the FBI.
Their group is called the FLDS. They are a break off of the Mormon church.
Back in the 1800's Mormons lived in polygamy, having more than one wife. But now only break offs of that church have more than one wife.

I depends on how bothered you'd be by polygamy and knowing your man was poking other women. What the hell got into him, anyway? If I were you, I'd tell him to go F himself. You love and care for him, but you didn't sign up for Mormonism. Again, though, it depends on your personal situation. Are there kids? Are you independent enough to be on your own. Can you handle having to look for a new husband. It's your life and your call, but I think you should tell your husband,"NO WAY IN HELL!"

Just say no. Unless you don't mind living with a smelly old goat who ignores you except to "discipline" you and keeps "marrying" your little sisters before they reach legal age. I have good friends who are Mormon but the polygamous sects are something else entirely. They are basically cut off from the outside world and their isolation and insistence on obedience to the husband and father can lead to some pretty nasty stuff.

I have no idea, but if what you say is true you can surely divorce on such grounds. You may love him, but he surely doesn't love you too much to make such a drastic change without your okay, changing religions is one thing, but to take on more wives is bull...especially since the way of polygamy is is going sour and very few places allow such things (so you would also have to move on top of the rest)

I was raised Mormon (called LDS now)
You know, they don't do that anymore.
There are cults who split from the church way back, but they are not recognised by the church.
It sounds to me like he's looking to get into sex.
You know, being unfaithful is grounds for religious divorce as well as legal.
I have no tolerance for unfaithful spouses.
You married this person out of love and what they decide that they really want is sex.
I suggest you put it point blank to him.
