Brett Favre is the greatest QB in football maybe ever.
Everyone that talks about the interceptions didn't watch any packers games last year, while he did throw a record number almost all of them came when the packers were already losing and Favre didn't have any weapons.
it is mind boggling to me that anyone thinks this guy should retire, he has a minimum of 3 years left. he has lost very little over the years, his biggest problem is that the packers have really never brought in the players to make a super bowl run.
BTW Favre could not care less about the records, he didn't call the press conference, it was scheduled for a charity event. This guy is a very pure football player.
Favre will be one of those guys that will not be appreciated until he is gone, he should probably have at the minimum 5 MVP awards

To ansewer the 1st guy I dont like Favre. I think he thinks himself of being bigger then the game now. He was great back in the day but he throw as many game ending interceptions as he did win games on his own and people do not get on him for that because he is a warrior and played in whatever straight games. It is a shame when you see someone sticking around just to set personell records because you know the Packers have no chance of doing anything productive this year. For his comments about Javon Walker this year and him calling press conferences to say that he has not made a decision on his retirement I think is very egotisitacal. I really hopes that he does not break Marino's record because Marino was a much better QB then Favre

Wrong question. The question is which record will he break first.
Favre has 396 Tds, Marino has 420. He needs 25 to break that one. Favre has 255 ints, George Blanda has 277. That's 23 to take the lead. My guess is on the interception record.

I think he will do it, and I'm hoping he does!
I was at the game against the Falcons and Greg Jennings looked very impressive. On opening day, he'll probably be the no. 2 receiver. Between him, Driver, and Bubba Franks, there should be plenty of TDs to go around.
Furthermore, as our team isn't going to be awesome this year, we will probably get into situations where we are passing a lot. This will lead to interceptions, true, but also some exciting passing touchdowns.
Btw, Favre will probably also surpass Fran Tarkenten's interception record - he needs fewer than 20.

25 is a lot - especially considering he's going to get blitzed a lot because the Packers have no running game. I'd say he gets about 20 if he stays healthy.

This shouldn't be a problem. Unless, of course, he replicates his '05 season. I don't see that happening, though.
I say he breaks the record at home against the Lions on Dec. 17.

Yes he will. I think he will play much better this season because he has some of his weapons back despite losing Jevon Walker to the Broncos.

IMO yes, the man's a beast (despite my being a vikings fan ----I half-hope he retires soon, so I can hate the Pack with full force --cuz, come on, who doesn't like Favre?)
