I'm a bisexual woman and am proud of it. Can anyone convince me that it's wrong without the help of the bible or religion at all? I'm not looking to change, I just want to see intelligent arguments.

Okay, I'll try.

In the animal kingdom, there are male species and female species, and they mate with each other. It is what's natural and.... Oh dam, there are those penguins and the rest all look alike so who knows, and well there's my dog. Scratch that.

Okay, way back in ancient civilization, there were lots of ancient gods and no one ever did that kind of thing. It was not normal then and it's only now that society is.... Oops, forgot about the Greek and Roman baths where the married men played. Never mind.

It's not normal to like two different things at the same time. No one does it. It's just not.... Oh crap, I like chocolate and strawberries and they're okay together but better separate.

Well, there's always the Bible. Oh right, love thy neighbor, do unto others... but right, too many contradictions, and you said not to use it.

Hmmm, insects... oh right, lots have both sexes and entomology is too complicated. That doesn't work either.

Uh, uh, people are different races and shouldn't mix because it's not normal. Shiit, decades too late to use that bs.

In black and white movies, everything is either black or white. So, there cannot be bisexuality because that would be grey. Dam, dam, dam, those flicks include grey.

In Star Wars, everything is simple enough for five year olds to understand. Yeah, that's it. This one's intelligent. Some people are too dumb to grasp beyond black and white. Oh heck, I'm not making the right argument am I.

Okay. I give up. Going to bed. Have a good night.

The bible is like a moral guide of the society... Although, you may say that I am an athiest or do not believe in the bible, some things in the bible may have influenced you in what you think, you value, you behave and your lifestyle. I am a Catholic and I am not religious but I recognize the fact that the religion that I am raised into has really influenced into my social and personal life. I can't deny it. It is not wrong if you don't believe in the bible... only a third of the world's population are Christians dear and the rest don't even know what is the bible, it's really alright.. you are not alone.

No, no one can convince you it is wrong with the bible. That's most likely an opinion you have to have yourself - somewhere in your own head - and then the bible is going to strengthen it.

So the question is, do YOU think that maybe something is wrong with it?

Just to play attorney for a moment here... Is it possible that it is not the most fulfilling way to live? Perhaps it can add a lot of confusion to your life.

And there's the question of love. Most people would say that love is the highest fulfillment of sexual desire and that they eventually want to fall in love with someone they can be sexually fuliflled by. That seems like a good combination. So can you do that with both a man and a woman? Is this going to work?

If it's hard these days to make 2 people stay together, how hard can it be to make 3 people stay together? Seems a lot more rare, for sure.

So the question becomes one of heartache, fulfillment, childrearing too, committment to another person, honesty, romance, love, and being true to someone. So it's up to you... if you think you have it all, then good for you.

If there are cracks in the foundation, however, maybe the bible is just trying to advise people on how to have a successful and fulfilling life.

However it's hard to know what advice is right in the world... so I don't blame your confusion.

Good luck with it.

I'm a lesbian fem and proud of it and I would never try to convince you that your sexual preference with the help of the bible or any type of religion is wrong. Not because I am a lesbian but because that is the type of person I am. I really do not believe that any of the hypocrites can convince you that it is wrong without the help of the bible and their so called religions.

If you don't believe in the Bible, what gives the idea that it's wrong to be bisexual? It isn't wrong, in a lot of religions. My advice to you is to try and find a religion that supports your beliefs and makes you happy.

Right and wrong are relative terms. What is right for one culture may be wrong for another. Gay can be wrong under certain circumstances. Let us pretend that the world population has shrunken to a dangerously low level and that birth rates are shrinking. Now let us add that humans at this point have again become stewards of the earth and not conquerors, and that their presence is required for the earth to survive. I know, a lot of caveats, but this is a hypothetical situation. Now, for someone to be exclusively gay/lesbian could be wrong in that they do not contribute to the needed population growth. That's an extreme example, but it illustrates that right and wrong can be relative and situational. As it is, gay is not wrong in my opinion. With bisexuality, one could say that is wrong in that you open yourself to twice the opportunity for cheating. Of course this assumes a monongamous relationship. Right, wrong, what does it matter? In the end we all die and must look back at our lives and hopefully die with the satisfaction of having lived a truthful and fulfilling life.

I have found in my spiritual quest that it is OK not to believe in any organized religion. You do not have to believe in the bible to believe in Christ or God. I have found that my own spirituality has brought me further than any of the boundaries of religion could. So sticking to your own personal growth would probably be good. I think it would be good for anyone with an open heart and mind.

i can't for the life of me see the link between your sexuality and the Bible. I am a married bisexual man, married to a lovely bisexual woman. WE live very happily and have done so for 10 years. The Bible has no influence on our lives. We harm no one, we are 100% honest with eachother and friends about our sexuality. Please don;t think that a 2000 yr old book can make a judgement upon your freedom to choose to enjoy partners of either sex. Im sure you will be bombarded by a bunch of religeous nutters who will say you will burn in hell or have serious mental problems or that you are cursed....lol..dont worry, and enjoy YOUR life. You dont have to believe in bible or religion to believe in god!! After all religions are invented by human whatever was written on the bible like any other scripts in other religions are tainted with human corruption and not to be follow blindly.
