Does your avatar really represent you............?

or is it how you picture yourself? Why not just leave it blank, or put up a picture that really represents something about you? I don't understand why people have these cartoon clones. I have only seen a few really good original ones, and at that they will eventually be cloned too. What gets me more is that you never see any plus sized avatars even though they are available. And get p*ssed if you want, but you know some of you people out there using these flawless avatars, but are HUGE. Or even have acne or just plain ugly! Do you really think people are going to see your avatar and think "they're hot!"?

LOL! my avatar used to be a big blank box and I just got tired of it looking empty - but I guess the one I got now represents me pretty well. LMAO @ plus sized avatar, you're insane!

You are nuts,if I may see.

Avatars are just little cartoon pictures.Yes,mine looks like me.
If everyone would have blank picture,then it would be hard to recognize who's who.
This way it is easier and fun.Avatars are not cartoon clones,sheesh.Maybe somebody doesn't want to have a Yahoo 360 (and that is necessary for a real picture).I don't know why does this bother you that much.Let people do what they want and mind your own buissnes.
Of course,real me is different from the avatar,that is because it is a CARTOON picture!
But it does look like me and it does represent me.
I don't know what morons look at someone's avatar and say "you're hot!".... That is stupid,people do it only to suck up to other people for points.
And,as I said once,I don't know why are you making such a big deal out of this.
It is fun to make avatars and to try to make them look like you.

I just did my avatar as close to what I look like as I could. I just dyed my hair red and my eyes are brown. I'm plus size so that the outfit I chose. I love pink and dangly jewelry. I think it's not a perfect representation of me but it's close. the background I picked is because I do live in vegas.
oh, by the way why does it matter why people create the avatar they did? just curious.
we should be able to age our avatars, I'm 22 and the avatar I created looks like a teen...

My Avatar representing me!!!! Not at all, LOL!!!
About the Cartoon Heads, we all try to create the best looking one for us, no matter how we look in reality. Its a natural instinct.....
And besides, This virtual world is a place where no one knows your true identity and apperance.... You can portray yourself however you like, and when persons here can fake entire personalities, faking a face is no big deal!! You know, there are many girls heer who are actually guys!! And we all know that not everyone looks as beautiful as their Avatars in their real life,but this is how THEY like to present themselves to us, so its fine with me.Isnt it good that we have a cosy little world here, where everyone is beautiful!!

Lord I hope not. I'm eating candy. I do eat alot of candy so yes it represents me on some level. They also need to let us age our avatars so we don't look 12 years old. It's why I stopped using mine.

i think their useful cuz u can tell if its a boy or girl your talking to. i always thaught about why there wasn't any plus size avatars, or ones that are old and not tean agers... but whatever its not a big deal theyr just fun.
