Definitely while awake. I would much rather be having it than dreaming about it. I can dream about it when I'm not having it.

It feels better when you're awake, but a dream can bring you endless and limitless fantasy parameters. Dreams are also fleeting though. Real life stays with you.

Definitely dreaming! Dream sex is like a shock wave of everything that you never even knew turned you on. Plus it's almost always (at least for me) sex I shouldn't be having, bad naughty sex, which makes it even hotter. And who doesn't love having an orgasm in their sleep!? One of the reasons I look forward to going to bed every night! ;)
