It was a bad call from the start. Pluto was only named a planet for the sake of discovery and dollar allocations. At one point this was a political issue nothing to do with science.

pluto's no longer a planet :-(.
Its considered a dwarf planet under the new system. However 3 new planets may be added into the mix.

well, Pluto has been reclassified as a "dwarf planet" in that it does not have a distinct orbit non-intersecting with other planets (primarilly neptune) and that it revolves around an axis between it and it's moon, which happens to be of relative size to the "planet" itself. This would make Pluto and its moon a binary system as opposed to a planet/moon.........or something like that

yes its considered as dwarf planet...

because it does not fit the new definition of the word PLANET

and also this people who declared this says that there will be a mandatory order to change all the books that contains pluto as a planet.. ohh my... thats going to be bad....

the teacher will then say.."THE BOOK IS WRONG"...

this "pluto" used to be a "planet" in this thing called a "solar system" but now it's just a "dwarf planet" because it's now considered neither a "planet" nor a "proper noun" ;)
