I'm not sure what it will do, but I wouldn't want to try it out. I don't really like taking anything that messes with your body's chemistry. I answered a question similar to yours a few minutes ago, so if you'd like to read what I told her, click on the link below.

Hope I've helped. =)

You can do that only if your birth control pill is a monophasic one, meaning that all 21 active pills have the same dose of hormones. Usually if it is monophasic they will all be the same color. Triphasic pills (OrthoTriCyclen) will have 3 different colors. This is important because skipping your pill will not work if you are taking a triphasic pill, you will get spotting. If you continue to take the active pills and skip your period, you will probably have less PMS. (Because you will not have the hormone fluctuations) If you do this you must at least have 4 periods a year (every 3 months). If you have heard of the birth control pill Seasonale, this is the same concept behind its development.

Not worth it. I tried this and my cycle (which normally lasts about 4-5 days and is always right on schedule) was totally messed up for like 2 months. I spotted for 2 months straight- it was a nightmare, and I will never try this again. You're better off just dealing with it and being done with it!!
