it's just bad when you overdo it that it changed the whole you.

people say that we must accept the way we are made. my question is, isn't it that when you look around, who gets a better deal? the one who improved her looks or the average? think about it. sometimes plastic surgery is for people who want to feel better. it's their feelings and we can never understand the pressure they have around beautiful people eveyrday. face the fact that not all are created equal. some way or another, someone will do everything to make his/her appearance better to be accepted. why allow people to make fun of you or throw you weird stare because you have big lips, big nose etc. we must understand that sometimes it's not for vanity, it's for other people way of gaining respect from others.

In my opinion, plastic surgery has its good and bad points. Its bad points are that it is often used for vanity, and to hide ones age (at times). People don't like the way they look so they change something. However, it also has its great points too. Take for example a person who is born with a disfigurement or a person who has severe facial burns. These people look to plastic surgery just so they can attempt to look somewhat human again. Often it is a means for the person to feel as if they have been accepted into society again. You cant argue with that. We all want to be accepted by the people around us. Most of us do not want to be outcasts. Plastic surgery is a means of being able to be accepted by those around us.

Isn’t that the age old question.

It's a lot like people who have straight hair want curly hair and the people who have curly hair want straight hair.

You can say all you want that looks don't matter and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But the truth is that looks matter.

I agree with plastic surgery when it is not taken too far. Cher, for example, looks as though she can't move parts of her face because they have been nipped and tucked and sucked to many times.

Look at Ashlee Simpson. I think she is absolutely gorgeous now that she has surgically altered his looks.

It's all about self esteem.

If she feels better about herself now that she as had some work done, who are we to criticize her. Sure, we all should be happy with the way we are. But for the unattractive, how can you be happy being unattractive in a world that demands attractiveness?

I have nothing against plastic surgery. With how the world is today and how many people judge you based on your looks, people may want to change something that others have criticized and teased them for and I have nothing against surgery to change that. If it'll make them happy and they want it then go ahead. We only live once, why live miserably?

That is a huge moral debate for me. I don't like it on other people. Yet I see imperfections in myself that could be fixed with it. So is it okay for me and not for them? I don't really know. I think you should keep as much of what you were born with as possible without compromising your own happiness by neglecting procedures which will have a profound positive impact on the way you feel about yourself.

I think plastic surgery is great for people who have had horrible accidents and would like reconstructive, for children born with disfigurements like cleft lips, missing ears, etc., for medical reasons like breast reduction and the like, these are all extremely helpful. I think plastic surgery for vanity's sake is kind of sad. That said, I sure would like to get rid of my tummy! :) See how we are?!

I think it's vain. God made you the way you are, and He thinks you're beautiful in your own way. Anyway, beauty is not the only thing. Just because our society tells us it's the most important thing, doesn't mean it is!
