I came across a catalog that was reallllly sweet and unique...it was a reproduction painting by Scott Kennedy. This one has a big pine tree with the pine needleds all spruced out, then on a large branch, there would be two black bears just slouching on the branch, just being cozy bears. Then you would see on an etched heart, within the heart, You can have it personalized either first names or initials. It is in a very handsome wooded frame with glass. The total size is 10 1/8 x 17 5/8. They also have something similar but different animals and scenery. This one has Birch trees all filled in the background and on one of the birch tree twig sits 2 lovebirds..looks like Chickadees. On one of the birch tree, there is an etched heart with either names or initials (your choice). It comes with a nice, handsome wooded frame w/ a sawtooth hanger on the back of the frame. Same size as the Bears....except the Bears are hortizontal...and the birds are veritcal. It Costs 119.00 either one...as you can see I left the link and the item numbers too.....if you want to see it. IF this is out of your price range...then what you can do is make an emergency packet for the trip...go get allllll of the trials sizes you can find and put it in a bag or a small basket and wrapped up with a covered cellophane paper. You might get things like.soaps...razor/shaving cream..oh wait...can't have those (razors)on the Plane. It might be a good idea you called the airports ahead of time to find out what they can carry or not. :o( toothbrushes...antibacterial wipes/gel....q-tips, lotion...shampoo/conditioner....things like that..you can find a lot of cute trial stuff if you go to walmart or even places like rite-aid....CVS...any pharmacy/convience stores...don't forget to include tynenol...or sanitary napkins/tampons. As it says Emergency packet. Make it fun and humorous! You can wrap it so they can't see it...and you write on it that it is their Honeymoon emergency packet. they will get a kick out of it...because when they see it...they will think the other way. You can even include munchies too :o) . That is the only thing I could think of ..Hope this will help! If you want to be just SIMPLE..then get a visa or m/c gift card... that way they(your friends) can purchase anything they want for themselves in any shop they go in another country!! Good luck!!!

If there is plenty of time after the wedding till the time they leave the country, how about taking pictures of the lovely couple during the wedding and having 8 x 10 prints made up and framed. There's your gift.

A gift certificate for a couples session at a spa where they are moving. Just look up spas in their city and look at their websites. My friend said it was way better then the $200 blender.

The best thing is to put cash or check in a beautiful wedding card. It'll be the most appreciated by far to any gift.

If you don't want them to leave, give them something liquid (*smile*) Money would be most appreciated to someone in that situation, or, mail them a gift to their new home address.
