Well it depends on your goals, your enthusiasm for the subject, where you live, how much money you are willing to spend and most of all what college/university you are thinking on attending.
First of all, if you just want to work in a pharmacy, lots of colleges offer "pharmacy assistant" courses that you can get ur degree (aka, certificate ) within a year or two. But if you really like the subject and if you are thinking on taking a "real" job in the pharmaceutical industry you must attend a university. Most credited universities that offer graduate studies in Pharmacy only after you have spent 4 year doing an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biotech. But there ARE some universities that don't have the "bachelor degree" as a requirment in their application but even those prefer giving admission to students who HAVE completed their undergrad.
The studies in Pharmacy is 4 years. and then there is the option of continuing for 3 more years.
So if are thinking on becoming a REAL pharmacist think of :
4yrs in undergrad+4 yrs in pharmacy school
But of course differenet schools have different policies and u might get lucky . ;)

Some people become a pharmacist with only a High school degree.
They take a minimum skills test which focuses on math and science. If they can pass the test then they can become a certified pharmacist.

I'm guessing it is at least 6 years. I know that Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana has an excellent school of pharmacy.
