Anyone have any advice on how to subtlely, but not too subtlely express interest in a male co-worker? I'm more interested in responses from men as to what they would be receptive to.

If you have a really nice personality, are clean, and aren't deformed, most guys would be receptive to a female advance. EYE CONTACT. Open you eyes just a touch wider, and look intently from one eye to the other. When he is doing something and talking to you, stare at his lips, and when he looks at you hold the gaze for just a second, as if you are just dreaming about kissing him, it will radiate from you withoput saying a direct word, ...that lip stare and then look him in the eyes....you know this is powerful stuff, most guys reacted to such things, and I may be scrouged for revealing these vital secrets..but this works, on me for sure, but on most guys, yeah....I have to go now...as I am feeling quite vulnerable at the moment....

Use body language to subtly flirt. Touch your hair, smile, let your eyes linger for a second then look away, very subtle, see his reaction. Touch his arm when you speak to him, eye contact ect. Also ask him questions, be interested in his answers. Ask him to have lunch with you.

Let him "accidentally" catch you looking at a picture of a woman performing fellatio on a man. You could lick your lips and look up at him. Then pretend you're embarrassed. Stare at his crotch for just a few seconds. Pay close attention to his response for clues as to what he might be thinking.

I think its best to assume that a man would never get any of your hints, and be more direct and ask him out. It's more healthty than trying to 2nd guess each other's intentions and wasting each other's time. Do it in a non-commital way, using statements like "hey, let's meetup for lunch someday, sometime, somewhere, how about that?" If you're shy about asking him out. Otherwise you can just ask directly. :)

On a break go grab coffee with him, why you ask...1) because everyone loves coffee and 2) because in the time you can drink your coffee you can have plenty of time to spark up a maybe corny but genuine conversation.

Avoid romantic anything with co-worker. Many problems can come of it.
