Hi,
That isn't fair, and you should tell her.I always took turns with my boyfriend and we still do even though we are engaged.Remember, communication is very important in every relationship. You'll should be able to talk about anything
without worrying that your going to hurt each others feelings.
This is the first step to better communication by talking too her about dating, and how much it costs.Ask her,how would she feel about taking turns paying for things. For Example: she pays for dinner and the tip. and you pay for the movies and all the concessions. It is a very fair way.
I agree with you, women should contribute to the date funds.Especially if you go away for a week-end or week or two.Someone should pay for the hotel, the other for the food, and take turs paying for entertainment, also the transportation should be split evenly down the middle(especially with gas prices as they are at the moment, and airline tickets.)
She should agree with all of this. If,she doesn't,that is unfair and only you know what you should if this happens.I wish you luck.( when you start dating someone new ,always talk to them about splitting everything 50/50 when it comes to dinners, movies, plays, traveling etc....It is the fair thing too do.)I hope that I helped with some good advice.I have been there and done that way too much.

Men donot play always. Maybe on the first date or the first few dates it is OK if the men pay. It is as someone answered - more romantic. But I feel that people with our kind of ideas are becoming extinct. There is too much of this crap about womens equality etc. Women do not like being treated as women any longer. They want to wear the pants.

I don't think that's true - I think the person who asks for the date is the one who should pay. So if I ask someone to go out with me, I'd expect to pay for the date.
After dating someone for a while, I think you should take turns paying as it's only fair, especially if both parties work. If your income is very different, try going to less expensive places sometimes, and be considerate of the person with less money.
But I definitely don't think the man always has to pay. The person who does the asking out should pay.

For the pleasure of the woman's company.
If you don't like it then go alone or with your buddies.
Love opens my heart and wallet... just the way it is.
