Pluto, beloved by some as a cosmic underdog but scorned by astronomers who considered it too dinky and distant, was unceremoniously stripped of its status as a planet Thursday.

I can sense your enthusiasm. There is nothing Pluto can do. Sorry to be so negative. Wait!...there is always faith in the unknown!

As I see it, only we on Earth have stripped it of it's status as a planet. Pluto may be laughing at us silly mortals and our feeble attempt to understand space!?!

Prove that it is a planet! Without it the number of planets have gone to 8 & 8 is not a good number!

Pluto should file a case in the Cosmic Court of Numerology!

umm... if pluto was placed closer to the sun, it'd get a tail like a comet... does that sound like a planet to you? btw, pluto is an inanimate object floating billions of miles from here... it therefore can't DO anything. Second, WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE CARE WHAT ASTRONOMERS CALL IT!?!?!?! call it a UFO that's been monitoring humans for the past 700 years gathering data for the mothership so it'll know where'd be best to attack for all I care. it's chunck of ice. DOES IT REALLY MATTER?????

It shouldn't have to do anything, it never should've been taken away from the other planets, it has been considered a planet since it's discovery, and in my heart it always will be a planet! Well you know whoever did this, They're no rocket scientist, well they may be but at least they're just an astronomer...or something....

Yes, Pluto should complain and in fact, we should complain on its behalf. Make a difference by opposing the decision at http://pleasesavepluto.org/

Maybe Pluto is relieved to be demoted. Great, no more unrealistic expectations or standards. Now I can go on doing...whatever it is that I do, and people will leave me alone. Yippee.
