Yes tom is in a destructive cult and has been for many years. Now the cracks are showing, and they want to get rid of him.

He is only spouting exactly what the Church teaches him, so I think it is brilliant. He is doing the work of 100 critics, thank you tom...

For Paramount they don't want to be associated with someone who is clearly unbalanced and is part of a dangerous organisation. I dare say he said a lot of odd things to paramount of which we will never hear which pushed them over the edge.

All kudos to paramount....

This is nothing to do with what he believes in private (about Xenu and the Body Thetans), and everything to do with Tom's behaviour in public.

No, Paramount is absolutely wrong both in their decision and how they went about it.

I don't think anyone can blame Tom Cruise for being excited about being in love (the jumping on the couch) and nobody should be offended by his talking about Scientology. The fact that some people are offended just shows what bigots they are for not being able to be tolerant of someone else's religion.

But as for Paramount and Sumner Redstone, the idea that MI3 didn't make them enough money is a load of trash, it made in excess of $300 million, and over the years Tom Cruise has made billions for them. Sumner didn't even notify Tom Cruise that he wasn't renewing his contract before he talked about it with the media. The decision is not only wrong but they way it was carried out was in extremely poor taste.

I suspect that anti-Scientology bigotry had a lot to do with this. It's a shame that people are still persecuted for their religious beliefs in a country that supposedly believes in religious freedom and in protecting people from religiously-based discrimination.

In fairness to Angelina, she did not break up the Jenn-Brad marriage. Its been on the rocks for quite sometime. Is it right for paramount to get rid of Tom? I think they have every right to do that since the management no longer agreed with his behaviour. Remember - Brad and Angie does not pick a fight with other people over their beliefs while Tom has the nerve to criticize women for having post partum depression as if he knew how it felt to be pregnant and actually gave birth. He might be raking in bug bucks for Paramount but that shouldn't be a leverage to expect the company to back him up every time he opens his big mouth. At least Angelina does civic work overseas and got Brad involved in it. And may I remind you, Tom wasn't all that faithful to Nicole as well exchanging Nicole for someone else - I forget her name. But she too is long gone.

I say Bravo to Paramount!! Tom is lovable, yet he's continuously Tom at the same time as he acts. a sturdy actor can change into someone he's not. LIke I reported......Tom is continuously Tom. His worst poooooopah became hiss aspect with Matt Lauar. Geesh......he's self rightous and obnoxious........what the hi is Katie wondering. I do problem that she is brainwashed. i imagine Tom is a sociopath. comprehensive of himself. and that i problem about that little infant which will little question improve as a lot as both be a resembling her dad or stay in consistent revolt. I say our troops want to invade Tom's compound asap Time for Tom to get some humililty. enable Katie bypass. loose Suri. Tom is properly growing scary!!! The settee aspect became lovable the first leap...then it basically went downhill from there. Katie ought to of been smitten and then mind washed. OH OH I remember earlier that Tom became sterile and couldn't concieve and once at the same time as his X spouse...whats her call were given PG he became mad cuz he wasn't able to concieve. So.......why hasn't the media theory about that ?????????

Its there money, and their reputation on the line doing business with him, or frankly, any of those Psycopaths in hollywood. I I'm not a paramount shareholder, or a Thetin 7, so I cant say if its right or wrong.

Its a good move if Tommy-boy goes nuttier. But as soon as the effer makes a blockbuster for someoneelse, its a bad move.

Although I do see AJ as a home wrecker (doesn't anyone remember how Billy Bob Thornton was engaged to Laura Dern when he dumped her for Angelina?!!!), Tom Cruise's behavior has definitely been bizarre lately! He comes off as trying WAY too hard when it comes to trying to convince us of his feelings for Katie Holmes, and the way he spoke out against poor Brooke Shields, my God!!! The man has lost his grip on reality and has put just way too much time into doctoring up his image rather than focusing on the talent aspect of his career!
I swear we should all get together and figure out a way to get poor, brainwashed Katie away from him. The worst thing is is that she's tied to this nut ball forever now that they have a child together!

Well its more than that..,but it didnt help.Tom ran his mouth about Brooke Shields going through post-partdum depression and he spouted off that it doesnt exist yadayadayada.Tom has been shooting his mouth off alot lately and its not only Tom but musicians and hollywood in gerneral. They have the right to their opinion but we also have the right not to agree with it and part of what we do is boycott etc..,All of the entertainment industry is feeling the pinch because the public is getting tired of listening to it.They are paid entertainers, not politicians and not judges, and not preachers.Tom has cost Paramount alot of money because of the quackiness and also his attitude. That was the main reason they cut him lose..,he is no better than you or I,he just thinks he is.

Paramount said Cruise's actions were "objectionable"... He jumped on a couch because of his love for a woman (this is wrong??), he said drugs shouldn't be forced on children (he's absolutely correct), he said postpartum depression is fake (psychiatrists make a bundle telling people they are mentally sick), and he talks about Scientology because he believes in it (I thought we're supposed to be tolerant of everyone's beliefs).

Paramount is being hypocritical. How can Cruise be considered "objectionable" when problably most of their actors are on drugs, booze, play around on spouses, etc. Maybe Paramount should get rid of all their actors.

They can do whatever they want and if they think that he is going to make less money which is probably it that is why they are doing it. Most corporations care little about anything except their wallet. Public perception affects the wallet. That is all they care about. They do not care if he is a good person if people keep buying from him. His numbers are going down and they worry about their money.

The other stuff you mentionrf must not have effected the money or they would have done something about it. All corporations care about is money. That is why they allow michael moore to bash on them. He makes tons of money for them while he does it.

I don't think it is a matter of right and wrong. It was their legal option not to renew his contract if they chose. His Q rating, which indicates his "bankability" with the studio, had dropped considerably. They know they are not going to realize the profit margin with him that they did in the past. To boot he is getting older and has lost much of his appeal to teenagers who spend more money going to the movies than adults. I rather like to see a male lose his contract partially on the basis of his age. That's been happening to females in Hollywood from the beginning.
