I have clinton portis on my team and the redskins just got a new runningback that means his injury could be worse then they say...Who could I get for him?

Don't trade him! You are selling at his lowest value which means you will get the lowest return.

If you absolutely must trade him and assuming you are in a league that has 2 starting RB positions with a flex WR/RB, you probably wouldn't get much better then someone's #3 RB on a team with 3 good RB's.

As I have said at least 20 times on this site: DO NOT DRAFT A TEAM ANY MORE THEN 10 DAYS BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON IF IT IS A LEAGUE YOU CARE ABOUT. Injuries like this happen EVERY year, without fail, and then someone is upset because their season is ruined before it even began.

Now everyone is crying and moaning because they drafted Portis 2 weeks ago before the preseason began. Hopefully this will "learn" you and everyone else to wait until after the 3rd preseason game to have your drafts.

Too risky. Portis is high market player. No doubt you got him as 7th pick overall or better. Keep him on IR if you have one. No one will give you anything what he is worth. A lot of talk about Portis... but game one is still 3 weeks away. Hold on to him. Too early for a panic trade now. You'll only get trash in return.

Personally I think he'll be fine--but if you want to be safe Ed James of Indy or Rudi Johnson of Cincinnatti are both going to have great years. I'm sure the fantasy owners of either team would be happy to make the trade.

Also--I looked at your fantasy team from another question and I hope you don't mind me offering you some advice. Plaxico Burress is going to be a stinkin' beast this year. You have him on the bench and Rod Smith starting. Now I'm a huge Rod Smith fan (wearing his jersey right now actually), but Plaxico is going to have a much better year yardswise and touchdown wise, especially with Javon Walker in Denver stealing all Smith's limelight.

First of all Edge is now a Cardinal and second I would never consider giving up a RB like Portis for any wide-out...so take his advise with a grain of salt. Keep him he will be fine!!!

nowhere near what you would hope; so your best chance is to stick it out and hope he does play.

right now, with everyone panicking and bailing on Portis; its a good idea to buy low if you can. Could be a huge payoff.

You could trade for anyone not named Alexander, Tomlinson or Larry Johnson.

Depends on the trade and what else you include.
