I did when I was there too, but after all was over, I'm glad I did it. At first I never knew what I wanted to do in college, so I eventually settled on a major I didn't really like (but was good at), studied my brains out, and got through it in the end with a diploma.
Now what I do for a living today has absolutely nothing to do with the degree I earned, but I gained a lot of life experiences out of it that I now realize were important in retrospect. It also teaches you a lot about who you are, probably moreso than what you're studying to become.
You may not see it now, but everytime you need to cram for an exam, then manage everything else going on in your crazy life, that is indirectly teaching you how to adapt to stress and multitask under pressure in the real world. If you can manage that for 4 years and get away with it, then you're better trained that someone who hasn't been there. So if you can survive that, you can just as easily find a way to make a deadline in an important project.
As for all those useless general ed courses you're forced to take? You may not think they're so important but if you pick up anything from them at all, you will one day be amazed when you use that knowledge in everyday life and sometimes it happens at the weirdest moments. For instance, you will go to a supermarket one day and know what the heck a cherimoya is and be able to tell your friends all about it and they'll wonder, how the heck you know that stuff. ;)

College was a ridiculous waste of money. I enjoyed the socialization... the friends, parties, etc. Hell, I even enjoyed some of the classes I took. I just hated what the institution became after a while. It started out as an institute of higher learning and along the way it became more of an economic institution so what the hell? I'm just angry because every year or so tuition went up and I never really saw where my money went. I hated college and am so glad that I am done forever.

Getting thru the books & material is like a lightening bolt. There is no time to ENJOY the material since you are stressed out about the time constraints, projects, exams, quizzes, labs and everything!!!! It would be nice to learn for the sake of learning.
Most of the material in the books are so abundant there is not time to really "know" it. This hampers recall of the material and ultimate usefulness for our brains!

It would be nice if colleges would actually have the classes that students need to graduate. Instead they just put them in their catalog and leave students hoping. I'm so glad I changed my major or I would still be going to community college.

I go to a community college so I don't mind the trip. But I hate it when the professors give you such hard tests and they don't give a f*&* about your grade.

I adore college. It's so much better than highschool. There are fewer idiots milling around and the people who are there usually want to be there, so they aren't hindering the classroom environment. I suppose that to enjoy college, you have to really love to learn.
