Data Warehousing Extract/Transform/Load

Based on Valdis' response, I should add that the audience is non-technical Executives that think (and this is the tricky part) they are technical geniuses.

The basic problem is to explain effectively why it is more difficult to develop Data Warehousing ETL code for data volumes over 15 terabytes then it is for 1.5 megabytes.

To a lot of us it seem obvious but I need to put it into Executive-That-Thinks-They-Are-A-Technologist speak.

The solid points to hit on will depend on who you're explainign it to. If you're answering a professor's question as a homework assignment, the points will be one thing. If you're out in the real world and explaining it to a clued co-worker, you'll mention something else (since theory and practice are often different). And if you're explaining it to a non-technical manager, just make the Powerpoint pretty. :)
