First of all the Smurfs were communists. Come on. One all powerful dictator in Pappa Smurf with his little sidekick Brainy.
And there was a serious lack of Females. Only one Female smurf out of 100. I am sure that would give you an idea as to why smurfs were blue.
And how could there be smurf children in the later episodes. As I kid I never saw smurfette pregnant. Did they hatch out of the mushrooms.
And then of course there was the Drugs. Ok they lived in shrooms and were always happy. Then there were the smurfberries. Geee makes me think of scooby snacks from scooby doo. Highly adictive.

No, no, no! Smurfs were so much fun - with there little smurf village and those crazy antics that somehow manage to foil every one of Gargamel's and Azreal's plans. Maybe you're just not old enough to appreciate them.
And BTW, there were THREE female smurfs - Smurfette, Sassette and Nanny. Still a staggeringly disproportionate ratio. I'm just sayin'.

smurfs are definitely terrible creatures, but what you believe is different to some people like the creator of the smurfs, or a hippie

Nooooooooo they don't........I loved the smurfs. I have videos recorded so my son can watch them......lol
So no, their not disgusting or terrifying......their sweet and Innocent not like the things on TV today for our kids. They taught love and respect. OK I'm gonna shut up, cause I'm getting a little too defencive over the smurfs......lol
