There are hundreds of these things dotting the USA. They are cheap and readily available. But what do you do with 100K SqFt of livable space located a hundred-plus feet underground?

what I would do is have a blast in one. I would love to own one. never mind living underground, I could deal with that. I would be coming outside every day anyway to live my life but think of the social party hosting you could do with one of those puppies ... your family & friends would be envious and want one too. I have already seen a sketch of a missile silo that was posted on the internet and I think it would be great living in one. built to withstand all weather conditions and incoming missiles and no worries ever about roof repair , hell yeah I want one , hmm

I agree with the previous answer, they make an excellent blank slate to turn into a home. As long as you don't mind living underground... gotta admit tho... it would be easy on utilities!

I've heard about people learning how to walk on really tall stilts in them! In all seriousness, I think it would be cool to add an elevator and make them into multi-level farm museums.
