My kids think I'm the money tree...

But seriously... get a couple of dozen strands of wire (copper wire, or stovepipe wire from the hardware store) and twist them all together starting at one end to make the trunk. As you go along, take 2 or 3 strands & twist them to make a branch, leaving the individual strands loose at the end to attach "leaves". Attach the "trunk" to a flat stone with epoxy glue.

A picture is worth a thousand words - see the websites below for pics of wire trees. Yours doesn't have to be complicated - have fun!

Funny you should ask.

You can use pipe cleaners to make a tree. Take at least three, do not have the ends even but rather at least one inch beyond the other. Twist them together by holding on to one end and twisting the other. The twisted part will be your trunk. Leave some of the pipe cleaner for limbs and branches. Do this with at least two more sets of twisted pipe cleaners.

Take the twisted sets and then twist them all together, again staggering the ends.

Add other limbs to the branches by taking smaller pieces of pipe cleaner and twisting them onto the single branches.

Is that about as clear as mud?

you could go to your local hobby shop and buy a pre maid tree then add the money with small wire or you could get a flower pot and go into the woods and find a branch and use that just be sure to glus the tree or branch down before you put the money on or you use old metal hangers also but some peat moss ( sold at walmart) around the base so you can hide the trunk of what ever you use good luck

Incomplete question....
I suggest modular origami, perhaps using Plank modules or PHiZZ units.
