Ok speech was my minor in college and I'm in Toastmasters now www.toastmasters.com. I know little about music but here's a guideline:

You've a broad subject here. Too broad. If you mean how does music help education, then you can choose for example:
Using music to reach special education students
Using music to teach a subject, such as singing a song about US history.

In those examples you're talking about using music to reach out, but you're not trying to teach music per se.
Using music to reach "at risk" students. For example if little Johnny is thinking about dropping out, and finds he enjoys band...well then maybe music is the hook to keep him there.

These are just a few examples

the ancient Spartans used music to command the troops how to move on a battlefield because a soldier could hear the music better than a human voice during the battle. so music was manditory study for Spartans. hows that?
