he might be the one guy thats stuffed with more hot air and crap than Dr Phil.

and dont get me wrong, i'm not saying that there isnt an afterlife, or that there arent psychics out there, i've been to one that shocked the hell outta me. but, she just asked my name. thats it. and it wasnt "i'm seeing an older man... does the letter J mean anything?"..... none of that crap. it was "i see your grandfather, holding a bird, and you're near his home, up north. hes laughing, and you are too. he said that he was going to show your dad when you go fishing that night".
this lady made john edwards look like he belonged in the special olympics. when you have 100 ppl around you and go "i'm getting a.... John..... jonathan... jake..... jason...?" eventually you're bound to get someone who's gonna believe you.

I believe life after death. So I think he's cool too. My young husband died recently *6 months ago now* and he comes to me in dreams and reminds me to do things, like "insurance insurance insurance" and I'll discover I forgot to renew the insurance, and had 1 more day to do it. I ask him for help and guidence all the time, and mom also (she died a month before husband) and I always get an answer of some sort. So I really believe something else is going on 'out there' even tho there are lots of skeptics.

Having read his books and because I'm a Spiritualist, I believe and trust in his concepts of an after life. I have and still do communicate with spirits, and they with me. I have much respect for him bringing the topic of death and particularly life after death to the forefront of our society. People in general fear it and hide from it, but it really needs to be discussed openly after all death will happen to all of us eventually.
On his psychic abilities, he seems legitimate to me, however, the best way to judge that would be to have a reading from him and I haven't done that yet.
As for him making money from his abilities and literature, everyone has the right to earn a living for themselves and their families. It's an individual's choice to attend a reading or purchase one of his books. No one is forcing anyone to do so. And the naysayers have no right to tell the believers what they can an can not do with their money.

He reads his audience well, that is his gift. I think he helps the living make peace with unresolved issues in regard to the deceased. The audience wants and needs this healing so badly that they believe. He is not psychic.

He does what you call cold reading. Let him tell us who killed Jon Benet or tell us where Bin Laden is and I might consider him worth listening to. He is just taking money from people who are in mourning and want to hear that their loved ones are okay on the other side.....don't ever give this man any money to listen to his crap.
