Will you ever die? Music is music. Some you like, some you don't. You can't classify all rap music into one category, just like you can't say all "popular" music is the same. Grow up and learn something.
Some people can't stand metal, others don't like the whole "emo" bit, and yet still some people aren't into country music. Decide what you like and don't lose any sleep over what anyone else is into.

I personally listen to everything but, ask yourself this will country, classic rock, or even the oldies ever die? The answer is NO.
Music is an art, and talent not a fad, now will some people get tired of rap should be your question... the answer yes,

I have to say the answer to that question is no. It's become too big and mainstream to ever completely disappear. Look at what we know as "classical", when was its hay day? A few hundred years ago, and they are still plenty of people obsessed with it...
However, it will definitely become less popular...Which isn't a bad thing at all in my opinion...Hopefully, all of the whack no talent people will move on to whatever the next big thing is and leave rap/ Hip Hop to the true lovers of the art...Pretty much, weeding out the bad seeds...

NOPE! it's become too mainstream and has crossed cultural boundaries. As long as white America wants to listen to it, sample it and mimic it - it's here to stay. Rap's also been a stage for personal expression and as long there's an issue to be addressed, whether it be social-cultural-political, rap will be at the forefront. For those that don't like it and wish it would die, it's not likely.

No. It will simply be co-opted by suburban white kids and increasingly talk about how hard it is to have lots of money and women. Then the rappers will grow older, settle down, move to the suburbs, and start rapping about crap like social security and how kids keep messing up their lawn.
The irony will be lost on them because they'll be rich, which, to them, was the point all along.
So it won't die, but it will suck - it's well on its way already.

I have to say that I don't like the way it's going now with that crunk music bullshit. But I still love other forms of rap, so hopefully it will never die. Learn to live with it.

ummm... HELL NO! what will happen though, is that white america will eventually take over it and try to claim it as their own just like theyve done with so many other styles INCLUDING rock. my people will then move on to something bigger and better which many of you will label crap just as you are doing now, but then turn around, take over and claim that as well. and that cycle will just repeat itself until some sort of creative talent can be nurtured between yourselves without our influence. hahaha. that sounds about right. think about it, either your little siblings are already into the hip-hop culture or your offspring will be into it in the near future. its inevitable. so just quit all that ignorant crap and open up your retarded little heads and accept the fact that equality and diversitied is a factor of life whether you like it or not. hey, i like metal and punk too, but i dont really understand the spiky hair and torn up jeans. i mean it doesnt make you guys look any tougher or hardcore so whats the point? yet and still, im not gonna **** on your lifestyle. i mean, if you think you look cool, then by all means.

The Encarta Dictionary defines music as:
sounds, usually produced by instruments or voices, that are arranged or played in order to create a pleasing or stimulating effect
Since "rap" has never been played in order to create a "pleasing" or stimulating effect, it cannot be considered music. Rap is talking by people who cannot read or play music, but want to be famous enough to wear gawdy gold jewelry and drive silly cars.
So, in summary, rap was never music to begin with and was dead before it hit the store.

Rap is already dead. Puffy killed rap 12 years ago and made way for all the crappy rappers that we hear today, and made it okay to be lyrically and creatively half-assed and talk about nothihing but money and women and weed.

It's been proven in recent studies that the music you listen to in your formative years will be your chosen music through life. So,short answer,it won't die until the generation that'slistening to it dies. Also, most things go in cycles,so in 2060 or so,somebody will rediscover it .
