well unfortunately the wrong people will win because of the favoritism by ESPN. they put the same few teams on every week, u always see the Redsox and the Yanks so Ortiz will get the MVP, but the guy in Minn deserves it, Morneau.. or maybe Dye.. I could even argue that Mariano Rivera is the MVP, he is so consistent..the Cy young in the AL will go to Santana.
in the NL the MVP might go to Beltran, if the Phillies make the playoffs it might be Howard...the Cy young well Webb is struggling, if he continues to suck in Sept he loses it,really no onein the NL is having a great year, who ever wins really doesnt deserve it

I truly and honestly believe that Brandon Webb from the Arizona Diamondbacks will win the NL Cy Young Award. I think that Carlos Delgado from the New York Mets will be MVP. On the AL side of the ticket I think the Cy Young will go to one of the following three pitchers: Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers, Fransisco Liriano, Minnesota Twins, or Johan Santana from Minnesota. I think the David "Big Papi" Ortiz from the Boston Red Sox will win the MVP.

The American League MVP is Jermaine Dye, hands down. JD is hitting .328 with 37 HRs and 99 RBIs. Take note, his batting average is 40 points higher than Ortiz. 40 points higher! And he does not have the luxury of having Manny Ramirez hitting behind him.
Everyone thinks Ortiz should win because ESPN shows Boston games all the time, and we are subjected to Red Sox Nation chanting "MVP" every time Ortiz comes to bat. Ridiculous. Dye, Morneau and Jeter are my top three.
Top three for AL Cy Young: Santana, Halladay and Verlander.
National League? Who cares?
