TURN ON BLUETOOTH ON UR PHONE AS WELL AS THE PHONE UR WANT TO CONNECT TO

PASSCODES ARE NOTHING BUT AN AUTHENTICATION THAT U ARE USING. SO BOTH OF U DECIDE ON ANY CODE. FOR EXAMPLE CHOSE 1234. JUST MAKE SURE U GIVE 1234 ON THE OTHER PHONE ALSO.

THATS IT...UR CONNECTED!!

Bluetooth is usually accessible via a setting in the Settings> Connectivity>Bluetooth in most Nokia phones. The location of the Bluetooth menu might differ from phone to phone (for the exact location in the menus you should check your user manual). Bluetooth can be used to transfer data between two bluetooth devices e.g. transfer songs, transfer pictures. It is also used by wireless headsets to handle calls/ music. Once you have found your bluetooth menu switch bluetooth on (on both devices). In some cases you would have to "pair" the devices together. Pairing means introducing the two devices to each other (this is usually for Headsets and not for phone to phone connectivity). You would have to enter a 4 or 5 digit pairing code to allow your phone to access the headset and vice versa.
But I am getting ahead of myself, you wanted to know how to use it phone-to-phone. Let me walk you through an example of transferring a picture via bluetooth. First, go to the picture in your phones' gallery (pictures folder). Choose Options> Send> via bluetooth. The other phone should have adequate space to accept the file otherwise the transfer will not begin. As soon as the other person accepts the file the transfer will begin.

The speeds of bluetooth are much faster than IR which make it very useful for larger files. It also does not require line of sight. The only thing that one should be careful about is a virus. With phones reaching highly sophisticated levels it is necessary to protect them from the sophisticated problems that they have spawned. For this reason it is recommended to keep bluetooth off all the time and switch it off immediately after use. In case a small window pops up on your phone while Bluetooth is on do click on any of the options. Just move your phone away from wherever you are until the window disappears . It could be a virus and clicking anything could cause trouble. You might look funny walking around staring at your phone but the weigh the embarrassment against having to format your phone and decide what to do. I hope I have answered your question.

Imagine you want to connect to my phone (Nokia N70). You switch on (activate) your Bluetooth, and I switch on mine ( the phones have to be fairly close to each other, but you can, for example, use them in adjacent rooms).

You then search for any active bluetooth phones. My Nokia will appear on your listing (ignore any others as they belong to other people). You then ask to connect to my Nokia and will ask you for a passcode. This is usually 0000 (four zeroes), but the other phone may have a different code. You should ask the other person (me) their code and use that code on both phones. I then accept any files from you and you can accept files from me.

Once the 2 phones are linked in this way, then they are paired and do not need to be searched for again, just linked each time. You can transfer the following data by bluetooth: pictures, videos, music, notes and contacts. Some items are locked and cannot be bluetoothed, especially if they were downloaded from the original phone's wap or an internet site.

Please be aware that you should not accept any files from people you do not know as they could be sending harmful things to your phone, such as viruses. Do not switch on your Bluetooth unless you're actually sending or receiving files, as people can access your phone using a Bluetooth connection and add unwanted items or remove items from your phone.

Hope this helps.

When you say "connect with other phones", I am not sure what you mean. Do you want to copy a file such as a ringtone from one phone to another? That is done by copying the ringtone to your computer then to the other phone. Do you want to make a call to someone's pnone? That can't be done with Bluetooth since it has a range of about 10 meters (30 feet). To make a call, you need a mobile service account.

heck no this is my speacialty. this is wat u do if u want to send a file like ringtone pic video watever, if its a motorola phone go to that file and press menu. it wil say copy and move. if u press move u wont have that file if u press copy then u will get that file and the other person will have it. the way u turn it on is by going to menu then settings then connection and u will see handsfree, device history and setup go to setup and then it will say find me power and name. customize ur name first then turn on the power and press find me. people will be able to find u IF they r sending a file. if u have verizon u cant do anything so yea so to answer ur question u have to have verizon to connect with people and if u have cingular it doesnt support it

seriously...OK. TURN UR BLUETOOTH ON (HOPE U CAN DO THAT???), THEN SEARCH FOR A NEW DEVICE. TO ADD A FOUND DEVICE, ENTER A 4-DIGIT PASSCODE (D OTHER PERSON SHOULD ENTER SAME CODE TOO) AND ADD. IF U'RE JUST SENDING FILES...(THIS IS A PAIN!), JUST SEND TO D OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICE AFTER UR FONE HAS FOUND IT.........1 MORE THING,GET ANOTHER FONE...seriously

Go to your settings , go to connectivity, then bluetooth activate it(switch it on), look for new devices, should bring up your friends phone(if hes activated his), then connect to it by clicking on his /her name.
Now you should be able to send photos, videos, music etc.
The best thing is its free to do it.
