well, I guess that would depend on your definition of smart now wouldn't it? "Smart" is a very relative term. For some, someone with a B in math would be concidered "smart" for others, a B is concidered a lower level of inteligence. This therefore makes answering your question very difficult, but I believe that there is someone for everyone and that intelligence in the long run doesn't hold the defining factor. There are however many acceptions to this, such as those who are consumed by their own intelligence and become arrogent, mocking those who are not as gifted intelectually as them. This innebitably leads to them being single because no one wants to be thought of as inferior for this mind set makes one doubt their own intelligence and causes a slow decrease in morale untill there is very little self pride left at all.

DANG!!! I can't tell you how hard it was to try to sound smart throughout all that. lol. I really am smart, but nobody, not even the biggest nerds on the planet actually talk like that. haha. I really don't think that intelligence should (or does) affect your chances of being single... at least not negatively... I think most would like to be with someone intelligent... just not to the point of arrogance.

I'm married and I like to think I'm pretty smart. I don't think it's unintelligent or weak to get married; it's about meeting someone you cannot live without and who is your best friend and love of your life. When you're lucky enough to find this person in your own life, you'll understand what a gift having a spouse is. Stupid people pass up a good thing, have affairs, stay in bad marriages and hurtful relationships, and don't know what they have until it's gone. THAT is stupidity.

Depends on what type of smart you are talking about.
People who have little to no social skills will have trouble. There are some intelligent people who are not single. Those are the ones with social skills.
