I am asking because I worked for the Government and they seem to think the Civil Rights are not important in todays age. I know because I tried to put a stop to what was happening at work and I got wrongfully terminated?

Of course it still exists. It's an on-going problem that seems that it'll always exist. Although now it has been brought down a bit, it definately still exists. Another thing is, I've been noticing lately that it's not mostly racism against the minorities anymore. I'm a student and even in my school I'll get pushed out of the way of someone and get called a dumb white girl or things like that. It's wrong really, but it's a problem that's probably going to be aorund for a long while and I think we've sadly just gotten more used to it.

The more seniority you have in a company whether one is prejudice, discriminating, or to ones own opinion racist; The more the weight falls on the last one hired. Some think it may be important to separate facts or even opinons (doesn't matter which) and keep them to oneself in the workplace. I guess you could raise as much heck as you want to or even go on strike; as long as it is on the other side of the dotted line (off work property) and you may not care what the consequences are if you could get a majority rule.

It sad to say the racism still does exist. There is no way that we as people can change the view that others have on one another.
