I have checked all the fuses and they are good

i own a repair shop i Tennessee,,and i think you either have a bad light switch,,or it has a burned fuse able link to the main power supply for the light,s,,it comes off the starter,,and there are a few of them down there,,you can take a 12 volt test light ,,and check for power at different points,,to find out if it has a bad one on it,,i think i would check the light switch first from what you described sounds like a bad switch,i hope this help,s,,good luck with it.

Check the fusable link at the starter it could be at the battery in some cases. the next thing I would check is the switch itself.
